Bayview Heights Duluth MN Real Estate

High on a hilltop overlooking the rest of the city of Duluth, MN, sits the neighborhood of Bayview Heights. Primarily a residential district, Bayview Heights is about twice as high about sea level than the other neighborhoods in the city, and functions unofficially as a go-between point between Duluth and nearby Proctor, MN.

The district has a neighborhood center on Vinland Street, which starts in Proctor as 5th Street and ends at the five corners intersection. This is the meeting point of Vinland Street, Getchell Road (which leads to Hermantown), Skyline Parkway (which leads into the city of Duluth, and Highland Street (which leads to West Duluth neighborhoods).

The Bayview Heights neighborhood is primary residential. It is usually grouped as part of West Duluth, but has an elementary school affiliated with Proctor's public school system. Residents usually go into West Duluth to do any shopping or eat at restaurants. Downtown Duluth isn't far either, for Bayview Heights' residents who enjoy nightlife. Because of the school-centered community, this is not particularly a place for tourists, but it is an excellent neighborhood in the city of Duluth.
