Duluth Heights is one of the largest neighborhoods in Duluth, MN, at least according to area. Until less than 50 years ago, this area was fairly rural, with more of a suburban feel than a big city feel. However, the introduction of the Miller Hill Mall and a variety of other shopping centers created a busier more urban side to this neighborhood. The mall features a number of great smaller stores in which to shop, including anchor stores like Barnes & Noble, JC Penney, Old Navy, and Sears. Land developing has also brought new people into the area as residents. The areas, however, is still fairly suburban when compared to other neighborhoods in the city.

If you are visiting Duluth, Duluth Heights will probably be your first stop, since it is home to Duluth International Airport. This transportation hub has two runways and is served by three commercial airlines-Allegiant Air, Midwest Airlines, and Northwest Airlines. A number of other businesses are also found in this area, and the old downtown district for the city of Duluth is nearby to welcome travelers to this great city.
