Park Point is one of the most unique neighborhoods in the city of Duluth. Located on a long, slender finger of land extending out into Lake Superior, Park Point is a tiny world of its own. The neighborhood extends along the middle third of the peninsula, from the bridge at Canal Park Drive southward. More than half of the peninsula is green space and open land, both publicly and privately owned.

The neighborhood, which shares District 5 in Duluth's comprehensive neighborhood plan with the Central Hillside neighborhood, is culturally diverse and lively. Residents benefit from Park Point's closeness to the Canal Park entertainment district and downtown shopping with nearby theaters, symphony and art galleries. Lakewalk extends along the entire eastern edge of Park Point, and there are hiking and biking tours galore as well as public and private docks for lake access.

Opportunities for outdoor activities abound along the bay front, with public parks and beaches taking a high priority on the list of community assets. Most homes in the area offer a lake view, and many have beach access. Like all of Duluth, Park Point enjoys cooler summers and warmer winters thanks to the Lake in its front - and back yard.
